Northeast Chapter

The 2017 Northeast Chapter Annual Meeting will take place May 31st-June 1, 2017 in Boston, MA at the Foley Hoag LLP offices. This program will feature a networking reception on May 31st at Committee Boston, 50 Northern Avenue at Courthouse Way, South Boston, Waterfront, beginning at 5:30 pm.

Summary:

The energy sector in the Northeast Region is facing unprecedented changes.  With federal and state energy policy initiatives, the Northeast is undergoing dynamic and exciting change.

The Energy Bar Association Northeast Chapter will bring together regulators, ISO Staff, industry executives and stakeholders to discuss the federal and state initiatives that are driving these changes.  Topics will include energy storage, energy infrastructure under the new Administration, the interaction between state energy policies and wholesale markets and distributed energy resources.   Don’t miss one of the most exciting EBA meetings of the year!

Industry experts will discuss issues around natural gas infrastructure in the Northeast, including reliability, impediments to growth and political considerations, as well as potential solutions.

Interaction of state policies and competitive markets   

Representatives from the three northeastern ISOs/RTOs will discuss the interaction of state energy policies and wholesale energy markets in their region and the development of proposals in the ISOs/RTOs to accommodate or integrate state policies. The panel will be moderated by a representative from the New England States Committee on Electricity.

  Distributed Energy Resources - Transforming Energy Markets

Cancellation Policy:

No registration fee refunds will be granted for cancellations received after May 24, 2017.  In order to receive a refund (less $75 administrative fee), the EBA must receive your written notice of cancellation by May 24, 2017. Registrants who are unable to attend may send a substitute for the entire program. Substitutions may be made at any time including on-site registration.  EBA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.
