The EBA's Natural Gas and FERC Practice Committees jointly present the NGA Section 5 Intro, a panel discussion focused on Commission-initiated proceedings pursuant to Section 5 of the Natural Gas Act. This expert panel will explore various technical and legal issues surrounding these proceedings, including how these proceedings are initiated, the procedural path of these investigations, and how these proceedings are resolved. Some specific topics will include the data the Commission uses to identify pipelines, the sometimes divergent interests of shippers and Commission Trial Staff, the role of administrative law judges, and predictions about future investigations.
