Young Lawyers & Students – Get Involved/Share Ideas

The EBA YLC develops and hosts educational, student outreach and networking programs with a particular focus on young lawyers and students.  Events are posted on the EBA’s calendar.  Events include:

Educational – The YLC hosts “Mini 101 Series” and other educational programs designed to provide young lawyers and students with an introduction to the energy industry and practical information to assist them in developing related legal skills.  The YLC is always seeking presenters and topics of interest!

Student Outreach – The YLC hosts an annual Summer Intern Reception in Washington, DC to introduce law students to energy practitioners in an informal setting perfect for candid conversations about energy law.  In addition, the YLC recently launched the energy Road Show (link to the Road show) program to teach law students about the practice of energy law.

Integration - The YLC hosts numerous social events each year to provide young lawyers and students with an opportunity to network and develop relationships with fellow energy law practitioners.  Highlights include the YLC’s monthly happy hours and the Annual Mid-Year Reception.  The YLC also co-sponsors several charitable events each year with the CFEBA, providing opportunities to work with other members of the EBA and the community while providing valuable services.
