Speaker bios



Bob is the immediate past Editor-in-Chief of the Energy Law Journal and recipient of the EBA President’s Award in 2019. He is a corporate partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and a graduate of Georgetown University and Boston University School of Law.



Commissioner Richard Glick was nominated to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by President Trump in August 2017 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on November 2, 2017. Before joining the Commission, Commissioner Glick was general counsel for the Democrats on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, serving as a senior policy advisor on numerous issues including electricity and renewable energy. Commissioner Glick is a graduate of George Washington University and Georgetown Law Center. 



Matthew Christiansen is a Legal Advisor to Commissioner Glick. Before joining the Commission, Matthew was an Energy and Policy Fellow at the NYU School of Law and previously served as a law clerk in the federal district court of the Southern District of New York and in the Circuit Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Matthew is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Law School.
