SUMMARY:The Role of Transmission in the Energy Resource Transition
DESCRIPTION:Please join our Louisiana and Midwest Chapters for this co-sponsored virtual energizer on the The Role of Transmission in the Energy Resource Transition. This two-hour panel will offer a variety of perspectives and an opportunity to earn CLE credit. \n\n\n\nBoth transmission development and interconnection processes are critical elements in the process of integrating new resources into the grid. Interconnection queues continue to grow\, almost exponentially. And substantial transmission build out has been identified as necessary to address both delivery and reliability issues. The panel will explore: \n\n\n\n\nHow the transmission planning and interconnection processes affect the development and integration on new resources into the grid\n\n\n\nRecent developments from the perspectives of the grid operator\, state regulators\, and affected transmission developers\n\n\n\nFERC initiatives with respect to both transmission planning and interconnection queue reforms as they may affect potential reforms\n\n\n\n\n**Registration is now closed for this event** \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAaron BloomExecutive Director TransmissionNextEra Energy\, Inc.\n\n\n\n\n\nNatasha HendersonDirector\, System PlanningSouthwest Power Pool\n\n\n\n\n\nDaniel KlineDirector\, Power Delivery (T&D) Planning & PolicyEntergy\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nBrad PopeDirector of Legal and Regulatory AffairsOrganization of MISO States\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAndy WitmeierDirector of Resource UtilizationMidcontinent Independent System Operator\, Inc.
