Climate Risk Disclosures for US Companies
This program will outline how US organizations may be impacted if climate risk disclosures and the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework are adopted in the US as they have been in the UK and EU. In addition to covering TCFD, the session will discuss:
- How institutional investors, who themselves are subject to TCFD, want to see wider decarbonization plans with monitoring to a verifiable standard
- How can lack of data quality, availability, reliability and comparability issues be addressed?
- An assessment of the global regulatory picture versus developments in the EU
- What are the key challenges for industry participants?
- Regulation versus standards, what are the similarities
