The EBA Compliance and Enforcement Committee’s Fall 2018 Energizer Conference, “Cybersecurity Compliance and Enforcement,” is intended to enable attorneys and other professionals in the field of energy law to learn about recent developments in Cybersecurity Compliance and Enforcement affecting the bulk electric system, including recent rulemakings and other developments from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, as well as challenges and concerns facing the industry. Speakers will include cybersecurity experts from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation and PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided for this brown bag lunch event.

As Senior Manager, Cyber and Physical Assurance, Lonnie is responsible for directing programs and processes necessary to monitor, review, and evaluate Critical Infrastructure Protection program effectiveness at NERC. His responsibilities include collaborating and coordinating activities with other program areas of the ERO Enterprise and industry to support the risk-based approach, identifying emerging cyber and physical security risks, and ensuring adherence to the NERC Rules of Procedure, Compliance Monitoring, and Enforcement Program.
Jonathan Monken, Senior Director, System Resiliency and Strategic Coordination, PJM
As Senior Director, System Resiliency and Strategic Coordination in PJM’s ITS Division, Jonathon works to build enterprise-level resilience in the areas of business continuity, physical and cyber security, risk management, operations, and planning. He has also worked as VP, U.S. Operations for the Electric Infrastructure Security, where he worked with the government and the industry to develop best practices and capabilities to improve the resilience of life support infrastructure systems to widespread, long duration power outages, known as “Black Sky” events. He also worked as Director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
