Conversation and Reception with the Hon. Neil Chatterjee

To celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the Asian Americans in Energy, the Environment and Commerce (AE2C) and the Energy Bar Association (EBA) are honored to host the Hon. Neil Chatterjee, Commissioner, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  Commissioner Chatterjee will provide insights on FERC, the value of workplace diversity, and highlights from his professional career.  Participants are also invited to an informal reception after the Conversation.

Commissioner Neil Chatterjee was nominated to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by President Donald J. Trump in May 2017 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on August 2017. He served as Chairman from August 2017 to December 2017. Prior to joining the Commission, he was energy policy advisor to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). Over the years Commissioner Chatterjee has played an integral role in the passage of major energy, highway, and agriculture legislation. Prior to serving Leader McConnell, Commissioner Chatterjee worked as a Principal in Government Relations for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and as an aide to House Republican Conference Chairwoman Deborah Pryce (R-OH). He began his career in Washington, D.C., with the House Committee on Ways and Means. A native of Lexington, KY, he is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and the University of Cincinnati, College of Law. Commissioner Chatterjee is married and has three children. 

The Conversation and Reception will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the offices at Alston & Bird, 950 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004.

Asian Americans in Energy, the Environment and Commerce (AE2C) connects Asian Americans and like-minded professionals to share knowledge and foster opportunities at the intersection of the energy, environment and commerce sectors globally.

The mission of the Energy Bar Association is to promote the professional excellence and ethical integrity of its members in the practice, administration, and development of energy laws, regulations, and policies by providing: superior educational programming, networking opportunities, and information resources.

Cancellation Policy:

You must pre-register for on-site attendance. No registration fee refunds will be granted for cancellations received after May 14, 2018. In order to receive a refund (less $10 administrative fee), the EBA must receive your written notice of cancellation by May 14, 2018. Registrants who are unable to attend may send a substitute for the entire program. EBA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.
