PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Join EBA's International Energy Law and Transactions Committee for a luncheon program in Washington, D.C. focused on the current state of the energy relationship between the U.S. and Mexico in view of current trade, treaty and political changes between the U.S. and Mexico. At this Energizer, a panel of experts will describe how recent developments in trade, USMCA negotiations and the new Mexican administration have impacted the current and future prospects for cooperation in all areas of energy. The following questions will be addressed:

  • What trade actions have affected cooperation between the two countries?
  • How is energy cooperation provided for under the USMCA, and will it replace NAFTA?
  • How are the policies of the new Mexican administration under President Lopez Obrador impacting energy opportunities for US companies in Mexico?
