5:55 - 7:10 PM: offshore transmission planning

On October 27, 2020, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission held a technical conference on offshore wind integration into RTOs/ISOs.  This integration cannot be done without construction of offshore electric transmission infrastructure. This  exciting group of experts will discuss what legal, policy, and regulatory changes are needed to ensure offshore transmission planning leads to the swift and successful integration of offshore generation; and who should be responsible for the planning of this submarine system.  This group has immense knowledge of electric transmission planning and each has his or her own diverse interest in how this brave new world is to be landscaped and what role their organization may play.
