PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Fair Labor Standards Act covers more than 135 million workers in more than 7 million workplaces.  Energy companies can have vast arrays of workers, from part-time, hourly laborers to highly-compensated, salaried executives; in one way or another, the FLSA applies to all of them.  For one hour we will discuss—with particular emphasis placed upon the unique issuing facing energy companies—the statute’s coverage, minimum wage issues, the hours worked requirement, overtime requirements, recordkeeping and posting requirements, as well as some of the most common errors associated with FLSA compliance.
