The course will cover key terminology, revenue requirement basics, and revenue requirement components, including rate base and operating expenses.

      FERC regulates significant swaths of the U.S. energy industry, including the wholesale sale and transmission of electricity, the transportation of oil and natural gas, and the permitting of several types of energy infrastructure projects. The authors -- Commissioner Richard Glick and Matthew Christiansen -- will discuss how, although it is not a climate regulator, FERC’s actions can nonetheless have substantial consequences for climate change.
