A Message from Your EBA President and CEO


Dear EBA Members: 

Each day, the Energy Bar Association strives to meet your needs and exceed your expectations. In 2019, EBA presented approximately 30 educational and networking programs nationwide. These programs attracted 2,200 professionals focused on all aspects of energy law. From gas and pipeline, to electricity and renewables law and policy, EBA is here to keep you on top of changing energy policies and regulations. 

For 74 years, EBA has helped attorneys and energy professionals meet current and future challenges by connecting and engaging with one another. We know you cannot rely on “business as usual” which is why EBA continues offering high-quality benefits critical to your ongoing success. In 2019, EBA provided you with:

  • dozens of CLE approved seminars and remote learning opportunities;
  • access to print, audio, and video resources for research and self-study through EBA's e-library;
  • professional development opportunities coordinated through EBA’s 22 committees and councils;
  • exciting networking and knowledge sharing events hosted across the country by our seven regional chapters;
  • access to key policymakers and thought leaders during our Annual Meeting and Mid-Year Energy Forum;
  • scholarly research via the academically acclaimed Energy Law Journal;
  • a new and improved EBA Insights, offering the ability to customize your industry newsfeed and weekly email content so you can stay abreast of trends and policy issues that matter most to you;
  • redesigned Career Center that provides access to premium job listings in the energy law sector and additional resources for members to navigate their career paths.

For 2020, we have even bigger goals ahead featuring:

  • enhancements to your online experience;
  • new marketing and engagement opportunities through live events and EBA Connect, the online member directory;
  • career development programming and career coaching;
  • technology driven educational and research offerings to enhance your remote learning;
  • network building through speaking engagements, CLE offerings, leadership roles and informal gatherings with regulators of various governmental agencies.
