This pipeline ratemaking course is a week-long class focused entirely on ratemaking process and principles for interstate natural gas pipelines. It is a practical, number-crunching, hands-on class where the students learn about FERC’s legal authorities under sections 4, 5, 7 of the Natural Gas Act, cost of service and rate base principles, and how to develop rates for an interstate pipeline. Instructors include pipeline company employees who are involved in ratemaking, as well as energy attorneys.
The target audience for the program is industry professionals, both legal and non-legal.
